Identification of diverse learners’ needs

An understanding of students’ abilities, interests, and learning diversity enables teachers to adjust teaching and learning and to design tiered learning activities. For example, prior to a teaching unit, a questionnaire survey could be conducted to identify students’ prior knowledge and learning interests.
